Professional Line Mixer

Professional universal mixer with 16 inputs that can be used flexibly as a keyboard sub-mixer, a multi-track monitor mixer, level translator or an effects return sub-mixer. Its 16 balanced line inputs with high headroom can be used stereo or mono per section. The ultra low-noise circuit ensures transparent sound and maximum headroom.

Flexible for monitoring, recording and effects applications thanks to a +4/-10 level adjustment per channel plus monitor/FX send control per section with a master send control. Very user-friendly, illuminated mute switch with clip indicator.

Good quality stereo line mixer

Although hardly packing many features, the RX1602 does its job very well. I use it in my MIDI rack for mixing all of my various sound modules.

The sound quality is excellent - when running at normal levels there is no noticeable noise in the signal. As others have mentioned, the mixer is totally transparent - ideal for mixing keyboards or sound modules. The inclusion of a headphone output with dedicated volume control is thoughtful and it is very handy. My single complaint is that the aux send is mono only. Why this is the case on what is clearly a stereo mixer is beyond me and it does rather let the product down.

The build quality is very good. Connectors are snug and robust, and the knobs and switches on the front panel are holding up well (I have owned the RX1602 for about 5 years now). This is a very well designed product and I would certainly buy another if I needed it. Given the low price, you really can't go wrong.

One of the few Mixers for Synthesizers

When it comes to getting a mixer only for synthesizers purposes, there are no many options around.

I decided to go for the Beringer after reading many reviews but wasn't expecting much when it comes to quality.

I have been using Their gear since early 2000 and i have to say that as overall i am very satisfied so far with the extremely low noise ratio within the mixer, the quality of the potentiometers or more precisely their functionality leaves much to be desired.

So where is the problem? The problem is that these are not smooth potentiometers but more like clicking (not endless) data encoders. So the problems is that they are not exactly precise and in the same setting of a stereo channel one of them may be very very slightly louder than the other and because they are not smooth it requires you to fiddle a little bit to find the right balance. That's the only complaint i have other then that the mixer is great and have plenty of inputs and one send to a FX processor (stereo).

Unbeatable at this price point

I needed a line mixer for my live keyboard rig after getting tired of running 4 pairs of outputs to the sound engineer (who didn't appreciate me stealing 8 channels !). After reading lots of specs and reviews I settled on this little gem.

16 mono / 8 stereo pairs of outputs all with separate gain, monitor/FX and balance levels is more channels than I need. The separate phones control is also really useful. Individual mute buttons are lit when on - good news on dark stages.

As other reviews also testify, I find the RX1602 to be very quiet even at high levels and is very neutral - so little or no colouration to your sounds.

Build-quality is great and the chassis is reassuringly solid. One slightly annoying thing is that the dials don't exactly line up with their markers - but for this price I can forgive Behringer! Other units with comparable spec are around twice the price - so this is a bargain!

Honest. Sturdy.Cheap

Bought 2 of these for my Old School Synths. Needed 32 inputs and a simple audio path into my new UrRt4. Threw away my cumbersome and discontinued drivers (class A) FreaKsonus Cards. Now things are a walk in the park. Je suis HAPPY
