An excellent case!

This case is a fantastic size, I can still fit a BOSS size pedal behind the helix to put in a loop. I also put all my cables on top of the helix and the lid still closes easily. The only two complaints I have are the fact the case is not completely black (which is a non issue but aesthetics are important to some) and the handle. The case is very well designed but the weight of the case and helix combined means the handle feels quite uncomfortable to carry for extended periods. If the handle was slightly thicker with more material to hold on to it would be much more comfortable.

Fits Like a Glove

I bought this case to bring Helix to band rehearsals. Initially I also considered buying a bag, but decided on the case for better protection.

And for that it's great - build quality seems adequate. The unit fits in the case snugly and you don't need to worry about damaging it. Looks like a flight case usually does. The "Thon" label could have been smaller though :)

Only a few minor issues. The case is a bit heavy combined with the weight of Helix. This is unavoidable though if making a sturdy plywood case. The handle feels little flimsy for a case this heavy. The latches take some extra effort to fasten.
There could have been a bit more room for cables, but taking a bit time you can get them there.

Over all I think I made the best choice available for Helix.

Perfect fit for the Helix

I just wanted to write in and say thank you for the Thon case -- the Helix fits perfectly inside, nice and snug when closed, and has just enough extra room to fit a few necessary cables as well. I probably could have used a few more cm of room in that space, and then I could pack a stompbox or two in the case, but that would just be gravy. Everything seems to be of very good quality, so I am hopeful that I'm going to get plenty of miles from this case! Thanks again!
