Thomann Europe Soprano Psaltery D1004

Thomann Europe Soprano Psaltery is my first bowed psaltery and I'm very happy with it!!

Pros:
Very nice build quality from Thomann!
Beautiful instrument and beautiful sound!
Included are: case, bow, rosin and tuning key!
Nice price!

Cons:
I can't find any cons!

All in all, the instrument is very well made with beautiful sound, many extras and a nice price!
Highly recommended!!

I am not a musician and the instrument was bought simply to enjoy personally This is the first bowed psaltery that I have owned and so I can not compare with other - perhaps more expensive - products.

I was very pleased with the instrument - it has a pleasing sound and is easy to play. Once tuned - which took some time but was not difficult - it has remained quite well in tune even when transported to different (local) environments.

All in all, I am pleased with the instrument and it is a pleasure to play.

Ich bin Laie und habe den Psalter aus reiner Neugierde gekauft und weil ich ein Begleitinstrument suchte.

Es ist für meine Zwecke gut geeignet, denn es ist sehr einfach zu spielen. Der Bogen muß allerdings vorher gut mit Kolophonium eingerieben werden.
Die Verarbeitung des Instrumentes sieht gut aus und die praktische Tasche ist ebenfalls Teil der Lieferung.
Der Klang ist nicht sehr laut, aber dadurch auch nicht schrill. Dass die einzelnen Saiten nach dem Anspielen noch nachklingen und sich mit dem neu angespielten Ton mischen, war für mich anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch ist die Tonskala recht hoch, da es sich um einen Sopran-Psalter handelt.

Den einzigen Punkt, den es zu bemängeln gibt, ist meinerseits, dass sich das Instrument recht schwierig sauber stimmen läßt: besonders die hohen Saiten sind in der Feinstimmung eine Herausforderung.

Fazit:
Das Instrument ist zu empfehlen und macht mir viel Freude!
