Affordable stage curtain

If you don't have the opportunity to find a cheaper source used this is a pretty good steal. The edges along the sides where it's been cut from the larger fabric need hemming and are a bit thready so I've knocked off a couple stars for that; the quality of the fabric is good though and very thick I just would rather have not had to hem it myself as it did cost 80£.
I mounted it over the archway in my studio space to cut the room in half decreasing natural reverb. It works very well, though when mounting it be mindful that the curtain is nearly 7 kilos and normal curtain racks may bend or not nearly be long enough. I mounted mine with 16mm rebar bolted to the wall. This worked very well as the eyelets are 20mm in diameter and rebar is extremely cheap. Will certainly be purchasing another of these stairville's down the line.

Dampens high and high mid frequencies

Bought this for my studio setup in my new apartment to lessen reflections. With a wall and two large windows behind my setup, not much can be mounted here, the curtains seemed like an excellent and discrete way to treat that area, and they certainly were. In combination with a few basstraps, this is whats hanging behind my desk. They also help to soften outside noise and block out all sunlight, so they help me focus on just the music as Im working.

If you are expecting any kind of mid or low dampening from these curtains, youre out of luck, but for high and midrange frequencies, these work well. They dampen reflections down to 250 Hz very effectively and visually they look like your average curtain, so if you need to soften a large wall with windows or glass doors on them, look no further.

One big pro for this product is also how much material you are getting for your money. There are thicker curtains out there, but they are significantly smaller and higher priced. With these, you get a very solid amount of dampening on a large area for a very decent price point.

Ideal for home and larger studios

I purchased the Stairville Curtain to cover a large 3m window in my home studio to block both sounds coming in and vice versa, as well as to absorb sound coming from within the studio.

Pros:

-Absorbs sound really well
-Blocks incoming and outgoing sound
-Can replace sound absorbers
-Looks nice
-Really works
-Cheaper to use than absorbers and perhaps more effective.

Cons:

-The eyelets are a little small

This is an excellent accessory for any studio. Whether it is beeing used as an absorber or as an extra tool for sound proofing. I highly recommend this curtain.

Good but reflects sound

I used a double layer of these in the process of building my sound effects recording room where I wanted to create as much of a dry dead room as possible. I use double layers of plaster boards, 120mm glass wool insulation, two layers of these sound blankets, and a layer of 80mm t.akoustic pyramid foam.

These blankets actually introduced some sound reflection compared to the exposed insulation.
