Nice quality but not very handy

I purchased multiple of this one to connect my AD/DA converters to my interface. They are thick and look very reliable but the cable has so much weight that the optical port of a device cannot handle it.

I kept them as a backup, but I will not use them again as a primary cable.

For optical/toslink connections, prefer a ligher and thinner cable.

Very loose fit, intermittent connection.

The plugs do not fit securely in the ADAT sockets (of 3 different pieces of kit, from 3 different manufacturers), and caused intermittent noise on several channels when running from an AD to an interface. Replaced with a (much cheaper) SSnake one I had lying around and all problems rectified. Avoid.

quality metal connectors, no issues

bought it to connect my focusrite 18i20 to my octo pre . works like a charm. I should have maybe gotten a shorter version but that does not impact this review at all. great sturdy connectors and it has worked well for the past year

Do not buy!!

I bought this cable to connect my Universal Audio 4-710d preamp to my Apollo 8 but the connector is so loose that it constantly falls out of the socket. I currently have it strapped down with two cable binders in order for it to stay in place in my rack - yes, RACK mounted and still falls out!

The cable itself is sturdy and it does work as long as it's in.
