Great sound and projection from these hats. Great for either beginners or even intermediates playing in a live band. Well worth the price tag. These are yet more Paiste gold, in my opinion.

As I do own a few newer bronze PST 7 cymbals, I wanted to try these and see what it had in store… First impressions are that it suits heavier genres like rock and metal, where you need your hats to be loud and authoritative; these do the trick alright, but I feel that it just sounds a bit simplistic… or rather, that it lacks the complex overtones you get from the bit more expensive heavy hi-hats.

So these are just plain OK budget heavy hi hats. If you’d like something more complex you’d probably have to go up the price range.

Die neue Main-Hi-Hat

Dieses Weihnachten wollte ich mich mal selbst beschenken und da meine treue MEINL Raker Medium Hi-Hat auf meiner linken Seite nun doch drei Risse im Topbecken aufweißt und auch schon mehr als 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, entschied ich mich für die PST7 Heavy Hi-Hat.

Im Proberaum ausgepackt, auf?s Stativ gehängt, Probe gespielt,... verliebt!!! Die zwei Becken sind aus der gleichen Legierung wie die großen (2002) und optisch bis auf?s Logo auch noch gleich, nur mit 123 EUR wesehntlich günstiger. Soundtechnisch sind die zwei Becken sogar noch feiner und spitzer und ergänzen sich super mit den PST5 Rock Hats, die ich auf meiner rechten Seite als X-Hat hängen hab.

Ich glaube ich werde komplett auf die Schweizer umsteigen, obwohl ich bisher immer die ZULTANS hochgehalten habe.

Fazit: Viel Becken für wenig Geld, da freut sich der Geldbeutel eines armen Heavy-Metallers... KAUFEN!!!
