A nice little door, but too tight for my hand to fit!

Having closed cases to prevent interference from complete strangers makes a lot of sense. I’ve had incidents of malicious individuals removing cables or flicking switches in some racks. Putting a blanking plate on to the rack is one way to overcome this problem, however unscrewing is a pain if you need to make quick changes. This door is very helpful in achieving that, but fitting my hand through this particular door is tough, and difficult to remove my hand again. If space allows get something bigger, but I’ll have to settle for this in the meantime.

Simple but essential for me

I was even able to do a little cut on it, being the steel really robust but thin, so I could do exactly what I want for my rack-mount synth system. Cheap also.

Habe diese Tür bei mir in meinem Rack verbaut. Leider ist das Scharnier nicht besonders hochwertig, weshalb man die Tür nicht einfach schließen kann. Man muss sie erst ein wenig nach oben drücken, damit man sie schließen kann. Wenn man sie aber sowiso nicht so oft verwendet ist es nicht so schlimm. Das Schloss ist natürlich bei diesem Preis nicht das beste, aber ok. Ich würde beim nächsten mal ein paar Euro mehr ausgeben und eine Rackschublade oder etwas ähnliches kaufen. Im groben und ganzen ist sie aber verwendbar.

Comoda ma non troppo solida

Montata sul retro di un rack, è comoda perchè consente di lavorare all'interno al volo senza dover svitare nulla. La costruzione non è il massimo, la cerniera traballa un po' ma una volta chiusa resta in posizione.
