The Mackie ProFX12v3 was my purchase because I required a flexible and portable mixer, one that could serve be in different settings. And also because I didn't want to spend too much money on a mixer!
The ProFX12v3 is quite good for playing live or recording on studio (my main usages for it), the sound is clear, the pre-amps are nice, the effects are competent. The aux and fx send are very useful features!
What I don't love in the ProFX12v3 are the plastic knobs, that seem too fragile, and the EQ is a bit limited. But I have an external EQ in the studio setting, so that is enough for my needs.
All in all, excellent value for money, and a great mixer to complement other gear.
