I started with the POD XT Live back in 2004/2005. It was a revolution for playing guitar live. After that, the X3 brought a clear improvement in the effect's sound quality and I've been using it in the last 2-3 years, now with synths, including modular.
I decided to try the new (to me) HX line, mainly because of the reverbs and it was a perfect shot. The sound quality is amazing and the settings are immensely tunable. The HX ONE offers only one effect at a time, BUT the heliosphere delay alone pays the pedal: it offers delay with modulation and reverb in one single effect. It's huge for synths.
Other than that, it's a clever design, very easy to use even without the app, and includes MIDI. Of course, when someone enters the HX family through the ONE, he immediately starts planning for one of the bigger brothers, and this is a marketing move that also works for Line 6.
Being an admirer of Line 6 and Yamaha, I'm very happy to see two brands a I love doing such an incredible product.
