WARNING: Bottle may leak during transport!

The top of the bottle has a plastic film seal but that didn't prevent some of the contents to leak out during transport. Luckily it wasn't enough to damage the rest of the items but I still think I should warn people against this product. At least for long distance shipping.

The cleaner worked fine but it didn't smell very nice. It has a rather sharp, unpleasant chemical smell. It is by far the most foul smelling guitar polish I've ever used. For this reason I probably won't be using this product much, although it works great.

I'll have to give it a two star rating, although to be fair it works fine. I don't quite understand the point of a "protection" rating though. No cleaner/polish will give your guitar any meaningful "protection" and I think Thomann should reconsider the use of this rating. Maybe there's a slightly different meaning that got lost in translation from German? It wouldn't be fair to give a poor rating as no other cleaning product will give you any better protection so I'm giving five stars here, although it will of course offer no protection whatsoever.

Does What It Claims

It really just does what it claims to do. It will clean any sticky grime or dust build up on your guitar/bass. Just apply on microfiber cloth and gently wipe the area, then use the dry part of the cloth to clean up excess and the finish just goes back to shine. I also use it on other brands of guitars.

Really great cleaner for all guitars regardless the value

I use this cleaner on all of my guitars including a Les Paul Custom, a PRS Cus24 and a few other high end guitars. I used to get a Gibson polish that was just link this but I couldn't find it anymore (they seemed to have switched their "supplier") and was looking for a replacement - this is it.

So for those wanting to know - this is like a creme. Wipe on - it dries in a moment or so, and leaves a sort of dry powdery coating on the guitar - buff it out and it is like glass! Really good stuff!! REALLY good stuff.
