Disappointing QC by Fender USA at this price point.

Lovely sound, amazing Mystic Surf Green finish is stunning in person, probably the best neck I’ve ever played, great feel and playing bass. Included case is also very nice.
Unfortunately let down by shoddy QC by Fender USA even at this very expensive price point. The pickguard for my unit had the truss rod access cut wrong/inaccurately and didn’t exactly line up perfectly.
Screw holes on the pickguard and control plate on the jazz model were also stripped as if they were drilled in too wide or deep at the factory, this led to the control plate completely lifting off the bass after plugging and unplugging the lead about 10 times after only 5 days so I sent it back…
I really expect better at this price point, Fender seem to not want to put in the USA effort/quality but still demand premium prices for their USA products, I don’t pay extra because its “made in the USA”, I couldn’t care less…
I pay extra for attention to detail, better hardware and better QC than Asian or Mexican Fenders but unfortunately didn’t get it here.
Won’t be buying a Fender going forward without trying it out in person first.
