EMG SL20 Steve Lukather LH

I was looking for a boost in pickups for my Fender (USA) strat and my eye fell on the EMG SL20 Steve Lukather pickup set. Basically for versatility and more bite, more drive, but without straying too far from the original strat feel.

I must say I like the set very much in above mentioned respects. It performs very subtally if needed, very crisp without getting trebley, and the overall depth of the sound (a bit more mid and low in comparison to the original pickups) makes the guitar sound more 'mature' in a way. It still sounds 100% strat, no doubt about that, but there's an edge to it now that can lift the sound to a more pleasing performance when playing introvertly AND when playing loud and heavy (hey, I got an EMG humbucker now when I need it :)

Thank you Thomann for getting this product for me -that wasn't easy, since I needed a lefty version of the setup. Great job, as always.

Einfach nur zu empfehlen
Habe mir vor einem Jahr ein Fender Strat Mexico zugelegt. Bin an sich mit der Qualität und der Verarbeitung der Gitarre zufrieden gewesen bis auf die orginal eingebauten Tonabnehmer. Es klang muffig und unschön basslastig. Mit EQ's und anderen Bodeneffekten habe ich versucht den Sound zu verbessern. Nichts zu machen.
Habe mich dann lange im Internet belesen und festgestellt das Andere das gleiche Problem haben und landete auf einer Seite wo jemand das EMG SL 20 Set Steve Lukather für sich entdeckt hat und sehr zufrieden war damit. Ich habe es dann kurzer Hand hier bei Thomann blind bestellt. Und jetzt kommt's: Der Vergleich zwischen Mittelwelle und UKW würde nicht annährend reichen um die Klangverbesserung zu beschreiben die mit den EMG Set eingetreten ist. Einfach nur gigantisch. Null Nebengeräusche, brillante Höhen, wohlklingenden Bässe und das Ganze war höchst einfach zu installieren. Einfach nur der Hammer. Auf jeder Position des Schalters gibt es
Sounds die sofort zu gebrauchen sind. Habe noch nie eine so gut klingende Gitarre gehabt. Die Anschaffung des Set's ist einfach nur zu empfehlen. 5 Sterne dafür.
