Great pickup!

This is my favourite neck pickup for '80s metal and more extreme tones...or anything played with high gain/distortion. Sounds great in E standard tuning but really excels in lower tunings.
Lots of treble presence for a neck pickup, but doesn't get thin, brittle or harsh like other bright neck pickups (e.g. Humbucker from Hell). Makes pinch harmonics easier than some bridge pickups.

Very good and reliable pickup. It can take lots of gain. I recommend it.

Amazing Neck Pickup

Absolutely fantastic pickup. I love the sound of it, especially when paired up with DP215 in the bridge. The middle spilt sound is identical to the 4th position on an HSS Strat. Pros? Everything. Cons? Didn't find any yet.

Der D Activator DP219FBK wurde an der Stegposition verbaut. Und es wurde ein weiterer DP219 am Hals verbaut. Ich habe die Pickups in einer 5-Wege-Schaltung verlötet. Im Coilsplit gibt es herrlichste, klare, und auch leicht perlige Töne zu hören. Der Neck-Pickup gibt als Einspuler geschaltet,parallel, oder seriell leicht glasige und klare Töne von sich - ein Ohrenschmaus !!! In der Stegposition klingt er ein wenig klarer als mancher anderer Pickup im Cleansound. Selbst bei höchster Verzerrung geht nur noch die Sonne auf. Jeder Ton klingt für sich bei Akkorden, und alles ohne Matsch.
Die D Activator sind für mich bisher die besten Pickups. Diese hohe Trennschärfe in Clean und Verzerrung konnte noch kein anderer Pickup erreichen. Dazu kommt noch diese virtuose Anschlagsdynamik in der Ansprache daher. Und einen guten Output haben die Teile.
Meine Suche nach den heiligen Pickups für 6-Saiter haben mit dem D Activator ein Ende gefunden.
