This is an easy to use recorder. You just turn it on and press record. That's it.
It has noise, especially when it comes to recording quiet sources. Also, it can clip in very high dspl levels. However, it is not bad enough to make recorder unusable. Yet, in some cases can unpleasant.
It is bit hard to hold the recorder by hand due to the size. So, even if you don't touch any buttons to adjust levels etc during the recording you can still get the "handling noise". So, I use it with a small stand to minimise this.
I think it has a fairly flat response; if not a bit mid focussed. It is has a really nice stereo image. When you use the front and back and mix them together in post; it can record very realistic stereo ambient. Especially when you listen it back with headphones.
Plus, you can use it like an audio interface. So, it can work like a usb mic.
Device can drive my 250 ohm headphones good enough to monitor.
It works; without any problems, with external mics.
My expectations wasn't too high; since I'm getting for 3 mic recorder for such a low price. I must say, it met my expectations. All the down sides (especially noise) can be ignored due to ease of use and sound quality at given price.
PS: You need to delete your recordings in the device after bouncing them to computer. Otherwise, it says memory is full.
