I replaced the drive shaft on my old DW5000 after the original one became loose and succumbed to lag problems. At the time I knew nothing about Trick as a drum company but did some research and decided to go with their P1V6DW Drive Shaft as a replacement. I have been totally satisfied with this product ever since and am happy to say that after 2 years, it is still as good as the day it arrived. Trick are an incredible company and I this year I decided to upgrade my pedal to their Pro1V model, I have never looked back since and only considered this upgrade after experiencing the functionality and craftsmanship of the P1V6DW Drive Shaft first hand. Top notch.

Ive gone through 2 dw drive shafts using DW 9000s so after a little research these were the answer. Trick have done their home work on this! I cant fault Trick Drums P1V6P Drive Shaft. Its weighty and apparently comes in 'black'! I expected silver after waiting 2 months for delivery. Its a little wider without any adjustments compared to DWs drive shaft so its something to consider when buying. Still experimenting with hihat placement.. Great product.

I bought this for my DW9000 and its like having a 2 times better pedal. Its heavy and built like a tank.
My strokes are more even now. I always thought my left leg is very very weak but now its only weak :P

I cant recommend this item enough!! 10/10.
