It does the job

I bought the foam inlay along with Thon 2U drawer for my wireless mics and IEM beltpacks. It works like a charm especially when you're touring and do not want stuff to rattle inside your rack and maybe break.
It's easy to make a layout for your mics or whatever you're gonna stick into the foam. Just place your item on the inlay, count how many pre-cut foam cubes you have to rip and voila! You have your custom drawer ready to protect your equipment during transport.
Tip: After you rip the pre-cut foam you can put it on the bottom of the drawer, so when you're placing your mic in the foam it doesn't get to the bottom side of the foam touching the drawer.

Neat, clever, does what it's supposed to

It's a teeny bit pricy for what it is ? expanded foam ? hence only four stars in total; but if what you need is a thoroughly professional, fitted, custom inlay for your 2U drawer unit, then this is the only gig in town. The foam is pre-perforated into little cubes which you can easily dig out with your fingers to create custom recesses for whatever mics (or other pieces of delicate kit) you want to reside in the drawer ? though once the cubes are plucked out, you can't really add them back in again, so it's worth planning the layout in advance. Once you're done, though, everything has its own padded home and nothing's rattling about getting damaged.

I bought for my drum set microphones , to put them together in a rack drawer. I cut with the letcon to get the exact shape because if I used those pre-cut squares I wouldn't get exactly what I wanted. But with all that I'm happy with the product.
