Extremely Handy

Having been gigging for the last 10 years I have always felt the need to have somewhere safe to store valuables and no better way to do it than with the Thon Rackschublade 3HE Lock.

Being a 3U untie it does take up quite a but of a space but its certainly worth it. I have saved my mac, ipad and phone from being robbed by having the depth to actually store the item and the most obvious feature which saved my valuables was it ability to lock. I will say the lock does not seem the strongest but its sleek design means the drawer sits very flush and does not enable much tampering ability. Its powder-coat finish also always it to blend very well into my rack unit. It slides very efficiently across its rails and isn't to heavy either.

One thing I will say is that i often hire my rack unit out and I have yet to find a locksmith who can cut keys for this unit. It does however come with two keys but it would be nice to be able to get further keys but to ensure customers who hire this item off me can avail of the items full potential.

Overall I was happy with the item and as a result it has saved me money by securing my items.

Great addition to any rack.

Good quality, and locking

Very good quality, locking drawer with a clip to keep it closed if its not locked with the key.

Quite heavy but rolls in and out perfectly after several years of abuse!

It's a rack draw

It's solid, lock seems pretty strong, have it in my Kemper rack and it's very helpful for storing various items like guitar picks, cables and wireless packs...not sure what they could realistically improve except to have padded it perhaps.

Tough build

The drawer has a smooth sliding action and its great to have something i can lock at gigs, it is quite heave and has tipped my rack when fully open but the rack was really empty at the time, will be buying more of the Thon Drawers.
