Useful metronome for live performance
David655 19.05.2016
It's a metronome. What makes it better than many is the fact that you can dial in required tempo rather than, as it typical with electronic metronomes, pushing buttons to raise or lower the tempo. So you can change tempo quickly and easily with one hand (and if dextrous even perhaps with a stick tip). Some of the Wittner models are similar in this respect I think.
The clip is close to useless - I suppose it is to attach the unit to a belt but no drummer would find that useful. I can't find anywhere on my kit to fix it other than balanced on a music stand (which is okay if you have scores to read from which I typically do). Paired with in ear monitors like the Shure SE 112 it does a fine job. It wouldn't be loud enough without IEM's or over-ear studio phones.
I don't have the full sized rhythm watch - that has always struck me as far too large for practical gigging use. The RW30 is more manageable. Fits in a stick bag and is unobtrusive. BUY IT NOW FOLKS. I'm joking - obviously. It is a useful piece of kit for the money is as much as I can say.

Tama Totally
Decy Campion 10.06.2017
I like it very much. Works perfectly for practice and live too. Tama produce tasty gear for drummers. The RW30 is the best metronome Iv'e ever owned. It has all the feature's I need. It's never let me down in demanding live performances. It would be great if it came with a case. I keep mine in a soft case for sun glasses. I'm going to buy another one for my other rig in Cork City. It's a brilliant little unit.

Good but quiet a little
Devourment 27.07.2017
Sometimes i play soft and not really loud music. And in that case RW30 works perfect. The click sound is pretty sharp so you can easy hear it with any types of headphones.
But thing changes when you go loud and heavy. When i play something like rock or metal music the maximum of the RW30 volume is not enough.
I can't hear the click clearly when average volume around is really loud.
Another thing - you can't instantly switch between, for example 180 and 110 BPM, because wheel is too small.
And the ON/OFF button is really bad. It sticks to itself and sometimes turn on by itself

Easy to use, small, lots of different beat options, audible even w/o headphones - i.e. quite loud. Battery lasts reasonably long, the clips on the back side works perfectly. (Sorry Boss, that one of yours sucks!)
