Have debated getting SpectraLayers for some time to integrate with Cubase. I use AudioLava but needed to go beyond for deeper clean-up on old recordings. I thought that I would be able to integrate the programme directly into Cubase, but found out that it wasn't possible with LE Elements 12. Was informed by Steinberg that I would have to use it as a standalone. I am presently still finding the best and quickest ways to move files in and out of Cubase with it.
Having said that, it is delivering all that I need it to do, good at removing mains hum, surface noise and print-through on tapes. I can't compare it with earlier versions but it is a very capable programme, just down to me to keep learning its hidden secrets. System is:- OS 13.6 Ventura, Cubase LE AI Elements 12 V 12.0.70, SpectraLayers V 11.0.60. Would recommend it, but probably better with Cubase Pro and VST integration.
