Schaller - TOP quality

Schaller products are top quality, very accurate. As I built my dream guitar, it was very important to have all details in high quality, therefore I chose this Schaller tailpiece and some other details from Schaller as well. I would definitely recommend this tailpiece to everyone who is concerned about quality of the product.

Nice quality but the bushings are small and not universal-threaded

I found this stop tailpiece to be a nice quality - the powder coating was uniform and there's a good weight to it. I bought it to replace an existing bridge but found the bushings were noticeably smaller. The thread in the posts was tighter than the thread in the existing bushings, so I couldn't simply switch out the posts as they didn't fit.

Not as good as epiphone stop tail

This stop tail doesn't lock into the installation pegs while strings are off, so this drops off very easily when strings are entirely removed for more comprehensive cleaning.

Installation pegs were also too short for the original holes I had in Epiphone SG, so I had to install the stop tail quite low compared to the old one. Would be nice if Schaller had extra selection of installation pegs for this and their bridges.
