Great bass, pity about the strings

Very happy with this bass. Quality is the thread that passes through all elements - apart from the strings. Don’t think I’ve ever experienced such poor quality strings on a new bass. Out the box, it sounded awful, tinny, twangy and buzzy but with decent new strings it transformed immediately into a full, punchy and very versatile instrument. Good finish and attention to detail so overall am very impressed. Note to Sadowsky/ Warwick - Do not fit these strings to this or (any bass). They such and do not do this excellent guitar any favours.

Habe schon einige Bässe bei Thomann getestet und wieder zurückgesendet, dann einen 5-Saiter von Sandberg gekauft, mit dem ich immer noch zufrieden bin.
Aber dieser Sadowsky Bass hat mich wirklich von Beginn an angenehm überrascht. Saubere Verarbeitung, sehr gute Saitenlage, feine Intonation.
Da musste ich gar nichts nachstellen. Die Saiten (Eigenbau von Sadowsky?) lassen sich gut bespielen.
Ich spiele im Bereich Rock Funk Soul , etwas jazzy.
Der Sound war zunächst eher drahtig fetzig. Mit der Zweiklangregelung musste ich mich erstmal näher befassen, aber dann waren doch alle gewünschten Sounds abrufbar. Die Potis arbeiten sauber und bewirken die gwünschte Anhebung im Bass- und Höhenbereich. Richtig amtlich klang es dann noch, als ich über den den Ampeg SGT-DI Preamp spielte. Dann knurrte es auch, was aber nicht zum Grundcharakter des Basses gehört.

Der Bass macht Spaß und ist sein Geld mehr als wert! Checkt das aus!
