My experience and impressions of the microphone
Ranet 05.09.2020
I must say right away that I plan to purchase another such microphone. It is very convenient for field recording. If you have a pair of these microphones, you can achieve very flexible settings when recording, for example, choral music. However, rumors of a specific sonic coloration are not just rumors. The microphone is far from accurate reproduction of natural sound. The manufacturer wanted to achieve a tube color by means of electronic components. Large investments have been allocated for this. But the end result is an electric color. Yes, the sound is as if it is being passed through a budget amplifier. I would not use it if you need to very faithfully convey the rich sound of an expensive acoustic string instrument, the sound of which is quite recognizable. The assembly is also not very high quality. The golden mark on the front of the microphone immediately fell off, the mesh peeled off on one side and the diaphragm itself was at an angle. Maybe the postal service is to blame? The microphone is incredibly dependent on its position in relation to the sound source. If your performer moves a lot, you run the risk of getting quite different shades in different parts of the vocal track. There are also resonances. They partly go away if you put acoustic paralon inside the microphone. It always seems that this is definitely your unique microphone, but this microphone is too serial. Overall, I expected to get the best fidelity of a condenser mic for the money. On the other hand, it is quite suitable for daily routine recording, and it suits me perfectly for these purposes.

This is stunning value for money! Exceptionally low noise level, superb quality sound and just so versatile with its variable pickup pattern. Wish I'd bought one years ago!

Versatile Mic
Anónimo 28.11.2014
We mainly use this Microphone for Vocals and the sound is pretty transparent and silky. We had a Rode NT-1a before and the NT2000 was definitely a step up. Since it is a condeser Mic you should haveve a acoustically treated room, otherwise it will pick up all reflections and will not provide the best recordings. It can blend seamlessly between 1 or 2 capsules, wich we dont use often, but it works well and is nice to have.
The Buildquility is suberb, its huge and heavy, never had technically a problem with it .Only downside is that the Finish slightly oxidated after some time and it doesnt look as shiny as it did 8 years ago.

Great mic for the price
Teo Mandzuka 02.06.2020
I use it it my home studio, picking up mostly everything. From vocals, acoustic guitars to drums and percussion. Gives great results in every situation.
Pros:
affordable, clear sounding, versatile
Cons: instruments lack bit of clarity on the top end
