I rent gear to pro musicians and changing bass drum heads gets to be expensive. When the local store didn't have these in stock I tried the Gibraltar ones and the clear Evans patches that come with the head. The Gibraltar was toast and peeling off after one use and the Evans really offer no protection. These last and last. With one of these on a head I almost never have to replace the head or the patch.

These are great products, I have used for years in conjuction with Remo Powerstroke 3 heads.
They produce a definite slap sound which helps the Bass Drum cut through.
In addition they provide a huge amount of protection that stops the Bass Head losing its form over a long period. Sticks on in moments and has never fallen off or peeled.

It came with white and black version, i used the white first and it sticks to the drum skin very tight, the glue back is "powerful" and boost the sound of the bass a little bit, I'm coming back for the double slam pad.
