Absolutely fantastic djembe!!
Wolfwolf 21.04.2021
I wasn't sure which djembe to take - 12" or 14". I was looking for great bass and great highs. Today I received it, it was very well packed. I took it out and I was amazed by how good it looks (it does look attractive :) ) and even more - how good sound it produces!! I am a music producer and have been playing music for more than 15 years and I've never played djembe that sounds THIS good!
The package even includes Remo sound Control dot and ring, to get even better sound if we hate 'that Remo ringing'. For now I don't need it, djembe sounds great!! I am so happy I bought it. Even tuning will be a piece of cake now. This instrument just sounds right.
If I'd taken the 14" Remo Mondo djembe, it would be too huge for me. This 12" is just perfect for my ears .
Playability is great. This djembe has the feel I was looking for many years.
And for those who are listening all the audio files and cannot decide - BUY THIS DJEMBE! Those audio examples sound really bad and nowhere near the real deal.
AND THE BEST PART -
I got a djembe whose skin is DARK GREEN!!! I don't know if other people have got the same, but I LOVE it!

Great for bad weather/festivals. It's NOT a real djembe though. ;)

Ordered two of these, 12'' and a 14'' inch to use during outside gigs (we have to play outside simetimes and the weather can get humid - normal skin tuned high can get damaged in this manner very easily). I like the modest uniform black looks, no pseudo-ethno patterns on it etc. The sound, however, leaces room to be wished for. The great (and bad) thing was that the producer seems to be aware of this, so the drum comes prepackaged with some plastic stickers to be glued under the plastic hide, allowing one to remove some undue tinny tones from the sound. The bad - had I known this, I'd not have ordered this drum. A sweet piece of engineering, but the top material really looks like any regular plastic drum film, perhaps thicker - not sure it is actually a special "hyde-like material" (I thought it would be made of some crazy high-tech fibers). All in all, we use them to play under bad conditions. But it comes nowhere close to a real djembe, neither in feel nor the sound. If one keeps this in mind, they are cool toys.
PS. I think the 14'' sounded a bit better.
