Well puresound has the reputation so you can go wrong with their products. I had some generic 14 strand strainer so I wanted to give it a try with some quality strainer and also experiment with few strands extra so I bought this 20 strand strainer. It has definitely improved my snare sound, giving it more body as well as increased sensitivity. Only down side is that you don't get a nice looking snare cord for fixing to the snare drum mechanism like you would with some more expensive model. What you get is blue rubbery wire as seen in picture which is ok, but a real cord is much nicer, so you should buy it extra if you preffer it over the included wire.

Worth getting Puresound snare wires because some snare drums come with cheap snare wires. It is an investment even though they are not very cheap to buy but they make a big difference to the sound. Highly recommended!
