Hi,
This is a review about the PTM50SHR Ultra Grip Tambourine from Pearl.
It has 12 jingles made out of steel.
The jingle control system is a grea feature that separates this Tambourin from other in this price region. It allows you to control the volume and the sustain of the jingles for each jingle.
The sound cuts well through any msic genre (mine is progressive metal) I like its clear and open sound.
The rubber surface on the tambourin avoids to destroy your sticks.
Another cool feature is the mount, you can easily take off the PTM50SHR Ultra Grip Tambourine to play it as a hand tambourin and 2 seconds later you can strike it with a stick after you needn´t screw the tambourin to the stand, because there is already the Quick-Mount-Platform adjusted to the stand.

This is a great product!

It comes with a mounting bracket, which is useful for drum set, timbale and other percussion set players

Also it's the only tambourine I know, that allows you to adjust the djingles.

But the best part is that it's great for long hand-playing, because the handle has nice grip for your fingers and is located near the centre of the tambourine, thus minimizing the inertia you get with the tambourines held on the edge.

This is the best Tambourine I've ever had!
It sounds amazing and can be set for any use, just using the "jingle" disks to selectyvely mute any disk you want to obtain the needed sound.
This was worth the buy alone, but the system used to mount it on drum sets is another great thing!
You mount it on your setup and if you want to hand use it you just remove it, no screws, no plugs: it's amazing!
