Perfect for my Paiste 36" symphonic gong

This beater is the perfect weight and substance for my Paiste 36" symphonic gong. I have used it regularly for the last 5 years and it's still in excellent condition. I have other gong beaters but always end up coming back to this one for this particular gong.

Bigger and heavier than expected

This is a great mallet for larger gongs - though due to the size and weight I've found it only useable for larger and heavy strikes, which it excelles at. I prefer my Oli hess 355 for more general low end duties. I'm personally not sold on the metal handle - as I prefer the feel of wooden shafts.

These are observations based on my playing style rather than criticisms of the mallet, as this Paiste is a quality item.

The Paiste M7 Gong Beater is a brilliant product for gong playing. Paiste is a brand you can 100% rely on for quality. I love using this beater when I'm playing.
