Ovation for the Ovation

Having owned an old Ovation some years ago I decided to try another after using a Yamaha for many years. As an amateur player the high end Ovations were out of my price range so I opted for the cheaper Ovation Celebrity. I ordered the guitar on Friday afternoon and it arrived the next Tuesday morning, excellent service from Thomann. On top of this, the guitar had been checked, tuned, and was ready to play (just a fine tweak to the tuners). The action is just right and does not need further adjustment and the tone is just what I expected from an Ovation even without plugging it into an amp. The finish of the guitar is of very good quality for the price. I can only say that I am delighted with the instrument and my only disappointment was that my credit card company charged me an extra £8.00 for an International Transaction.

Seit Jahren möchte ich meine in die Jahre gekommene Yamaha APX4 gegen eine Ovation eintauschen. Mir gefällt an den Ovation Gitarren vor allem, dass sie m.E. leichter zu spielen sind, als andere Gitarren. Ausserdem mag ich den Sound sowohl akustisch, als auch über die Tonabnehmer. Im Internet hatte ich mir die Ovation 1867AX-5 Legend ausgesucht. Da meine Urlaubsreise aber an Thomann vorbeiführte, habe ich einen Abstecher gemacht und ein paar Gitarren vor Ort getestet. Ich habe einiges ausprobiert und habe letztendlich keinen Grund gesehen, warum ich nicht diese Celebrity Ovation nehmen soll. Sie ist 550 € günstiger als die "echte" Ovation. Ich konnte aber keinen Unterschied beim Sound und der Spielbarkeit feststellen. Optisch ist die echte natürlich etwas schicker. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Gitarren hat sie ausserdem das mit Abstand beste Stimmgerät. Hat die echte natürlich auch ;-)
Insgesamt ein tolles Instrument zum tollen Preis! Auf diesem Wege herzlichen Dank an das Thomann-Team - der Einkauf bei Euch war ein echtes Erlebnis - ich werde mit Sicherheit bald wiederkommen ;-)

Durante anos, quis trocar minha velha Yamaha APX4 por uma Ovation. O que gosto nas guitarras Ovation é que, na minha opinião, elas são mais fáceis de tocar do que outras guitarras. Também gosto do som tanto acusticamente quanto através dos captadores. Escolhi o Ovation 1867AX-5 Legend online. Como minha viagem de férias passou por Thomann, fiz um desvio e testei algumas guitarras no local. Eu tentei algumas coisas e finalmente não vi razão para não aceitar este Celebrity Ovation. É 550€ mais barato que o Ovation “real”. Mas não consegui notar nenhuma diferença no som ou na jogabilidade. Visualmente, o verdadeiro é obviamente um pouco mais estiloso. Comparada com as outras guitarras, ela também possui de longe o melhor afinador. Claro que o verdadeiro também tem ;-) No geral, um ótimo instrumento a um ótimo preço! Aproveito para agradecer à equipa Thomann - comprar convosco foi uma verdadeira experiência - com certeza voltarei em breve ;-)

El servicio de Thomann siempre impecable, la compré un jueves a última hora y la recibí el siguiente miercoles al mediodía.
La guitarra es un diseño único, avanzado, y eficiente.
El sonido es impresionante, el tacto muy cómodo y el acabado perfecto. La utilizo para shows en directo en dúo y la enchufo a una pedalera multiefectos que la hace aún más refinada.
La empiezas a tocar y no quieres dejarla. El afinador y ecualizador y el boton de volumen responden de maravilla, y el calibrado es perfecto. Trae la tarjeta con la info del operario calibrador.
Varios amigos profesionales la han probado y la encuentran igual que yo. En mi opinión, la mejor relación precio calidad que puedas encontrar

Recebi meu violão no dia 12 de julho de 2018. O atendimento da Thomann foi sempre impecável, comprei na quinta-feira à noite e recebi na quarta-feira seguinte ao meio-dia. A guitarra tem um design único, avançado e eficiente. O som impressiona, o toque é muito confortável e o acabamento é perfeito. Utilizo-o para shows ao vivo em duo e conecto-o a um pedal multiefeitos que o torna ainda mais refinado. Você começa a tocá-la e não quer deixá-la. O sintonizador, o equalizador e o botão de volume respondem maravilhosamente e a calibração é perfeita. Traga o cartão com as informações do operador de calibração. Vários amigos profissionais já experimentaram e acharam igual a mim. Na minha opinião, a melhor relação qualidade-preço que você pode encontrar.
