Wow !!! What an instrument.
Everything about this Bass Recorder from Mollenhauer shouts Quality and Excellence.
But by far the biggest feature is the Sound. A rich and vibrant sound through out the entire range of the Bass Recorder. The bottom end speaks beautifully, and it sails into the 2nd octave with no problems whatsoever.
Made from matched Plumb wood with maple highlights, the Recorder is stunning to look at, and a joy to handle.
The hole and key positions fit my fingers perfectly without any stretching required.
The angle of the Knick (bent) head joint is shallower than most other Knick Bass Recorders, which I was a little worried about before it arrived, but once again Mollenhauer have proved they know what they are doing as it fits the hands perfectly.
It comes in a really strong solid case with a very nice neck strap.
All in all its 100% perfect.

This is a quality instrument and comes in an excellent, sturdy case which should last for many years.
The instrument feels good to hold and the fingerholes/keys are in just the right positions for me. The lower register tone is strong and secure and the upper register response is clear and in tune, this suits the ensemble/solo playing that I do.
The light maple rings look very elegant against the colour and grain of the plum wood body, it's a real pleasure just looking at it.
I look forward to many years of music making with this lovely instrument.
