Awesome idea but breaks constantly.

I loved this kit for acoustic gigs and the sound is awesome for such a compact set up.
However, the cable on the pedal has snapped twice after only 7 gigs and the snare literally split into two pieces mid way through a gig using the canes provided.
I can't quite get over how poorly manufactured this is especially for the price!
Such a shame because I love the idea.

Good but with a minor issue!

I had read other reviews about the cable snapping and unfortunately after two months, I am another casualty of this! I LOVE the product overall. Hats and snare are great, the sound of the cajon bass drum is great, the pedal feels good too. Pedal just isn't up to it it would appear.

Thanks again to Meinl for this fine exclusive Cajon setup!
Covers everything I wanted for all my acoustic session needs and live shows.
Wonderfully deep kick tone and very well crafted.
You definitely get your money's worth too with the shaker, bamboo rods, stick bag which doubles up as a particularly comfortable cushion as well as utility bag, small but very durable Meinl hi hat sand and the 13"s!
Exceptionally pleased, have been using it for a few months now both in studio session and for live shows and the sound guys as well as band love it! Lovely cable pedal as well!
Little on the expensive side but you definitely get what you pay for with meinl.
