Initially, I ordered the C60 model, but it was out of stock. Then, by chance, I came across this model, which differs in the wood used for the back and sides. This model is much less popular than the 60-C, possibly because of the less common choice of wood—Zebrano instead of Rosewood.
However, I can confidently say that the Manuel Rodriguez 40 Cedar/Zebrano is an amazing guitar! The build quality is excellent—great hardware, flawless finishing, comfortable action, and, most importantly, powerful and responsive sound.
Incredibly powerful attack, even with a relatively light touch. A deep, thunderous bass that blows your mind. Strong, well-balanced sound with long sustain. An excellent choice for classical music, jazz, and bossa nova.
I highly recommend replacing the stock Hannabach strings with Hannabach Goldin 725MHT carbon strings right away to unleash the guitar's full tonal potential. The stock strings are not bad, but if you switch to carbon strings, the top will resonate more fully, and the guitar will sound even better!
I absolutely love playing this instrument!
