Being a synthetic guiro made of plastic you won’t get the same sound as a natural guiro tough it does its job quite well and is a bang for a buck. Included you have two scrapers the synthetic provides a bright modern tone and the wood one gives a mellower sound tough I highly recommend you get the Sonor Guiro Scraper for L2621 which provides you with a more “natural” like sound on this Guiro.

I am a lover of Cuban and Brazillian music and bought this for both personal enjoyment and also as a tool to use in music class (I'm a music teacher) . I love that this Guiro is plastic, makes it a long term investment and very realiable. The difference in sound compared to wood is negligible for me... and I'd take the tradeoff in a heartbeat. Also 2 kinds of sticks are provided, NEAT!! This guy stays for life
