1) this holder is shorter than other models, so the back of the instrument may touch the support. (but for me it's perfect because I use it for a seagull merlin dulcimer, which is really flat).
2) also you can not turn the holder, you can fix it only to a vertical mic stand, impossible to fix to an horizontal support.

If those two point are not a problem for you then the holder might suit your needs because it's well build and easy to fix.
but I would only recommend it if the short arm is what you needn otherwise other holders are cheaper and with more possibilities

I use this hanger on my music stand so I can hang my Ukulele there before and after the gig (and in the break if we have one). It does it's job really well and fits the width of the music stand pipe without any issue.
