Great little versatile amp

Wanted a small light little amp to take to school to use for my teaching and that I could play backing tracks through. This amp does all of these.

Although it is the acoustic version of the Joyo range, I've played archtops, Les Paul, nylon and steel string acoustics through it and am pleased with the sound and power of this little amp.

All in all this little amp packs a punch and with it also being battery powered, adds to its versatility.

Mushy sound.

I was hoping for better sound.
Maybe a faulty speaker, or loose screws inside.
Nicely finished with comprehensive controlls, plenty loud enough for a small placky box.
An hour trying different guitars and settings, but the mushy sound is not good for acoustic guitar.
Re: a week later the replacement MA 10 a arrived. I sat down again with the 3 same guitars and 2 different hook up guitar/amp wires, plugged in, switched on.
The sound of this replacement (a new ma 10 a) is far sweeter, a little more chimney than my first ma 10a & takes almost full volume & almost full gain before the dreaded 'mushy sound' syndrome begins.
Exactly what I was wanting, a nice clean sound at 3/4 gain & 3/4 volume.
A perfect stage monitor on a separate mic stand with a line in 6.3m jack, doubling as a rehearsal guitar amp.
Joyo is pretty good music gear, with a 3 year warranty, what more is needed.

Looks like a toy, but it is no toy

I saw this recommended in some buskers' groups, and I wanted to try it because it s lightweight and cheap. While of course it cannot compare to "good" amplifiers, I was really impressed by how good it sounds. There are some controls for the sound, gain etc, and they work, I was particularly impressed by its lack of feedback, like, my Roland has more feedback than this one, ZERO feedback. It s not very loud but for a single instrument it s quite ok, I tried it with a loop with voice and guitar and if you are in a quiet place it does provide some amplification. +1 because of the look, it looks like a toy from the 1970s/80s but it feels very sturdy (no but, those toys were made to last forever). Definitely an eye catcher.

Constant noise

No matter if I connect my instruments directly or through a Zoom A1X Four pedal, there is constant background noise once the input is plugged to the amp. I didn't expect much from this amp, but the noise kills all the joy of playing. Will be returning it.
