It has all the facilities I need. I like the shape control. Although I use it through a home made 2 by 12 cab, it sounds pretty good with any bass so far. I use it for stereo recording using the pre amp out and the direct out into my audio interface, which come out pretty good mostly, but easier to get a brilliant recording miking the cab. In normal use you would't hear the fan, but it sometimes makes me jump when I only use the pre amp. I've used it with treble guitars too, using pedals in the effects loop, and found the results pretty reasonable, but not as good as a recently purchased treble guitar amp.
