Side effect, it helps to cure the neck diving. More even response across the frequencies, highs more in control, the E string is more defined and played, also on the high register.

I have a cheap bass which I am steadily upgrading as a project to see if it can match the quality of my higher-end instruments. No single change has made more difference than upgrading to this bridge - plus the gold looks very classy with the black gloss finish of the instrument. Very easy to install!
