Pickups sound is always matter of personal taste.
These are bight pickups with a high output and they will do metal without any problem.
Because of the high output, they can be a little noisy.

Well i knew what i was buying and i wasn't disappointed!

Buy it and be at ease it WILL soun like the GIBSON you heard either in the Hall Of Fame concerts or the one in your head. This one is a WINNER and a KEEPER!

One of the best rock pickups.

I've been replacing the bridge pickups in my Les Pauls and Explorers with these for years now. The 500T gives a super hot rock/metal sound. Very aggressive mids and high end with a tight low end is the sound you get from the 500T. The only thing that might let them down is their tendancy not to clean up very well and drive even the cleanest amp into overdrive. But combined with a Marshall you can nail that AC/DC tone, putting you on that highway!!!
