I use several of these cymbal boom arms on my rack. They are very well built, sturdy and with many possible adjustments. Chrome finish is durable, with no apparent pitting. I have been using these arms for quite some time and they have never failed me: they hold any cymbal perfectly in their spot, with no problem.

This cymbal boom arm is a seriously good piece of drum hardware. The build quality is immediately apparent and it`s clear that no corners have been cut in it`s manufacture. The chrome plating is deep and lustrous and will clearly last a lifetime. All of the adjustment points operate smoothly and easily and there is no rattling or buzzing either with the disappearing boom arm extended or retained in the shaft (an important consideration, especially when recording). I have used it clamped to a rack, in a standing cymbal stand base and clamped to a tom holder on the drum kit. In each case, the boom arm remained stable and in place. All I want from drum hardware is that it does what it is supposed to and doesn`t break and this boom arm does exactly that. You can buy cheaper but you won`t buy better. Highly recommended.

I have been using Gibraltar cymbal booms on my rack for many years now. I recently had one of the lower grade cymbal booms crack and snap during a gig. So time for a replacement, I went with this version as the boom holds an 18" China and as soon as I saw it I knew this was a part that will last.

A strong build and lockable adjustments I cannot fault it.

Just waiting for my others to give up and break now so I can replace with this.

A must have for any Gibraltar Rack owner

When it comes to cymbal boom arms for your rack - go with Gibraltar! I have 5 of these and they're endlessly adjustable and solid as a rock - the drum key tightener screw at the top is pure gold! Haven't had a cymbal tip over in 5 years of constant playing metal music. I do however recommend, you don't tighten the screws on your multi-clamp too hard - I did manage to bend the tube on one arm this way, which is purely my fault. Just adjust the height you want, secure the position with the memory lock and be ease on the multi-clamp and you're set!
