I wasn't particularly into Les Pauls (I'm more of a non-Stratocaster Fender person), but I needed a second guitar (with humbuckers) to play heavier stuff, and not being constantly changing tunings on my main guitar (which is set up to standard, and I'd be playing all the way to B).
So I got a Les Paul, as I wanted a guitar able to play heavy stuff, but not super-high gain modern metal. I was leaning more toward stoner, sludge, doom and post-rock/metal stuff.
I was expecting a good entry-level guitar, but nothing like this. Not only is the build quality superb, but the guitar's playability is amazing. The neck is very comfortable, and the guitar balances well when playing standing up. Everything feels sturdy and robust.
The tone is pretty good — she loves a tube screamer-like pedal. I just don't say it is amazing because I've only played through a cheap practice amplifier at really low volumes so far. But as far as I can see through this setup it sounds great. I've already been able to get some decent post-metal and sludge tones, as well as blues, psychedelic rock, death metal, and everything in between. I suspect the pick-ups aren't ideal, but at this price point they are perfectly fine.
As I said, I wasn't much of a Les Paul guy. Now I'm sold. Can't put down the damn thing.

Great guitar, good value

I bought this around 2 months ago as a back up for my MiJ Tokai Les Paul. I was expecting an average guitar, but I now use it as ,much as the Tokai - it really is nearly as good! It is not quite a USA LP Custom, (the top carve is much less, for example) but it looks great, has an ebony board (BIG improvement on the old range) It has CTS pots and the quick change pick up connections. The pick ups are good, but I expect Seymour Duncans would be better. It plays really well, looks good, sounds good. What else do you want?

Unbelievably Impressive.

I’ve owned this guitar for about a year now, so I think it’s fair and an appropriate time for a review.
I’ll start by saying the Epiphone Les Paul Custom is an excellent guitar that packs an unbelievably massive sound and fantastic playability for its price. From the moment you pick it up, you'll notice that when playing it just feels natural and effortless, making it easy to produce the tones you want and of course making you want to play.
What really sets this guitar apart is its impressive sound. I own, Sheratons to vintage V100s but non come quite as close, The pickups produce a rich, full-bodied tone that's perfect for everything from classic rock to blues to metal. Whether you're playing leads or rhythm, it delivers a sound that's both powerful and nuanced.
Of course, the Les Paul Custom also looks amazing. The elegant black and white finish, quite reminiscent of Marc Bolan’s
'55 gibson les paul custom, or Noel Gallagher’s Gibson Les Paul.
This guitar will always be a real head-turner. It's a great choice for musicians who want a guitar that not only sounds great but also looks the part without spending way too much.
Overall, the Epiphone Les Paul Custom is an outstanding guitar that offers exceptional value for its cost. If you're looking for a guitar that sounds amazing, plays effortlessly, and looks fantastic, then the Les Paul Custom is the perfect choice.
Thank you for reading, hope it helps you decide one buying one ;)

Overall good with some minor problems

It's a great guitar but not as great as an american gibson!
The sound is good as expected but there are minor quality issues on the guitar. The plastic truss rod cover was damaged because they screwed it too deep. 21th fret ivory was painted a little black together with the keyboard. Toggle switch is a bit loose on the mid setting, it wiggles. Some parts of the gold color was off white and had black smudges. Removing the back plastic covers revealed that the screws were a bit off on the wood, making the screws turn empty. Do not expect a good build quality. Some people also find the sound not so good but for me it is okay.
