In a tweed Deluxe

The stock alnico P12Q in my tweed Fender 5E3 '57 Deluxe Reissue was great but didn't cope well with volume and farted out...distorted...when pushed. Tried about 5 different ceramic speakers...all louder and punchier but they lacked the complex response and character of the alnico P12Q. Got this Lil Texas and it's the one for me. Loud, punchy and tight...but with the delicate and balanced musicality of an alnico speaker. I've got 'my amp' back...with much more clean headroom and volume. The amp is a few pounds lighter now as well.
Excellent speaker.

Definite Upgrade

I bought this speaker to replace the stock speaker in my Rivera Chubster 55. Before I fitted the Eminence speaker, I was using an EV speaker, so sonically the Eminence had big shoes to fill. The first thing I noticed upon fitting the speaker to amp was how much lighter the amp was. The Eminence is less than half the weight of the stock speaker and is drastically lighter than the EV speaker I was using before, as someone without a car this is a big bonus. The most important thing though is the improvement in sound quality. Everything just sounds better! I would definitely recommend this speaker

Great cone for blues and classic rock!

I replaced a standard Marshall 1912 cone.
This gives a full clean sound rich of low.
Very warmed harmonics on distorted sounds.
Plus one big feature: lightweight!!

Loud and great sounding

Super efficient speaker, peaks loud volumes with good definition. Sharp roll off over 5kHz, wide low end response. Perfect for jazz and blues.
