Best Lightweight stand with
Dave01 15.07.2018
I love the DW Ultralight stands and use them almost exclusively both live and in my home studio. I use DW 6300UL snare stand for live shows and to hold my rack tom, but for my home studio, I wanted a lightweight stand with a standard basket so it would be easier to change out different sized snare drums, and this stand is perfect.
All of the DW 6000 series stands are so incredibly light weight that it's hard to believe. I use an ultralight cymbal stand with a 24" ride, and it's holding up just fine.
For drummers who carry their own gear, it really makes a huge difference.
The flatbase stands also looks really classy and minimalist, and look perfect with more "old-school" looking setups.
The only downside is that the footprint is pretty large relative to non-flat-based stands, and is larger than DW 6300UL stand, which may be an issue for drummers using double pedals or who need the floor space for pedals of other sorts.

Perfect Stand

This stand is a questionable one like all of the DW6000 hardware. My worry is that they wont be durable or secure and that they are simply all aesthetic. However this stand holds up. I gig regularly with this in my bag being thrown around in the back of my car and the stand is still as strong as day one. It is also sturdy when playing. I would 100% recommend this stand to anyone buying.
