These are the best-selling open-back headphones, but I sold them (The sound varies greatly depending on the degree of pressing to your head.
My head is small, for me the middle looks like a failure.
And if the head is large, then the ear pads are pressed and the place for the ears disappears)) Then it is not comfortable.

Once I bought original ear pads for the 990 and was disappointed to see that they differed from the original ones in size (they were just a different batch), even the left one was larger than the right one((. Since then I have been disappointed in "beyerdynamic".

I changed them to HD560S.

Moving to these from much cheaper headphones has made a world of difference; I love these headphones for mixing songs I'm working on as well as being fantastic for listening to music at home.

I chose Sennheiser HD560S instead. And I'm not looking for headphones anymore))) They are better in everything - quality, sound, weight, comfort, cable.
I also have a Shure 440A.

Impedance of only 80 ohms, but the sensitivity rating is relatively low, meaning they need more power to drive them to produce the same volume.

I tested several headphones in conjunction with my Yamaha P-525 piano... Yamaha HPH-150B, AKG K-702, beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro 80 Ohm, and Sennheiser HD 560S... only the Sennheisers had both excellent/neutral sound AND all the volume.

No mid frequency !

I tried mixing a typical rock song on these head phones but my guitars disappeared on these headphones because it can’t pick up the mids properly. When I adjusted the volume to hear the mids on these headphones and then switched to my old headphones the guitars were blasting in my ears. I had to return these headphones because they are not ideal for mixing at all and the mids are so important in mixing especially for guitar tone.

They are comfortable, clear and sound great! And you get more volume with the lower impedance when using with your sound card.
I just love them, and have never had any problems with Beyer products, they are made to last!

Even though it is an expensive and difficult to access product in my country, I am happy to have this unique product thanks to thomann. My parcel hasn't arrived yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Amazing quality, very clear and pleasant sound. Can wear these headphones for an entire day without any ear fatigue. Super confortable and an absolute upgrade from my old AKGs, very happy with these Beyerdynamics.

I had these headphones for the past month and i can say that This is one of the best quality for price headphones out there i bought the 80ohm bcs i use them with my phone i have no problem with the volume. Great product so far
