I bought this as the standard classic clear (which i usually use) was out of stock. I'm not sure if the white patches make much difference apart from durability but these heads sound amazing.
I put this one on my 14'' natal hammered / double beaded steel snare, and when paired with a standard texture coated sounds outstanding! Really sensitive.

nice finish on the head and a great fit apart from on one of the snare beds i noticed crinkles even at a medium tension, but I only fitted it today so hopefully it will go as the head beds in. Nice and crisp snare articulation and snare presence. Would recommend to those in search of a new sound!

Durable snare side head

I use it on my 14" x 5" 7 ply birch snare.
It is regular thickness snare side head although it is marketed as ultra thin while it is "ambassador" weight - 3 mils thick.
I didn't notice any big sound difference between this model and other regular snare side heads. White stripes that can be seen are nothing more than some kind of adhesive tape scissored by hand - pretty same as people sometimes use Duct tape to prevent buzzing of snare wires.
